In recent days, INTOSAI WGEA officially released 5 audit guidelines for SAIs including the Guidance on Auditing Sustainable Transport (hereafter referred to as the “Guidance”). The National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China, the Office of the Auditor General of Thailand, and the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia jointly took the lead in compiling the Guidance which is supported by the cooperative audit project on sustainable transport of ASOSAI WGEA. As a vital part of the 2020-2022 working plan of ASOSAI WGEA, the Project, started in 2021, is headed by the National Audit Office of the People's Republic of China and Office of the Auditor-General of Pakistan, with the participation of 5 National SAIs including the Jabatan Audit Negara, Malaysia, and is now basically complete. The release of the Guidance is a great encouragement to the work of ASOSAI WGEA. In the future, ASOSAI WGEA will continue to promote cooperation projects of supreme audit institutions in Asia to further contribute Asian strength to the audit development worldwide.
