On December 6, 2022, the Working Group on Environmental Auditing under the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI WGEA) held an online training session on the topic of "Carbon Reduction Audit" through video conferencing.
In recent days, INTOSAI WGEA officially released 5 audit guidelines for SAIs including the Guidance on Auditing Sustainable Transport (hereafter referred to as the “Guidance”).
From October 25 to 26, the 8th Seminar on Environmental Auditing and the 8th Working Meeting of ASOSAI WGEA were held via virtual video. Mr. Hou Kai, Auditor General of China and Chair of ASOSAI WGEA, attended the meeting and made a opening speech.
The 9th ASOSAI Seminar on Environmental Auditing and the 9th Working Meeting of ASOSAI WGEA completed all the agenda activities and was successfully concluded in Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, on August 25, 2023.
8 November, Representatives from CNAO participated in the INTOSAI WGEA COP26 webinar via video link. Echoing the concept of the COP26 UN Climate Change Conference, the webinar discussed the role of auditors in the global climate challenge. The meeting was hosted by the Secretariat of INTOSAI WGEA.
3 November, CNAO representatives attended a seminar on "Ecological and Environmental Auditing" of the BRICS Supreme Audit Institutions via video link. The seminar, hosted by the Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation, was attended online by nearly 30 representatives from the supreme audit institutions of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
September 20 to 24, Secretariat of ASOSAI WGEA participated in the 18th INTOSAI WGEA Virtual Steering Committee meeting. More than 100 representatives from 17 Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) and international organizations participated in the meeting.
The bilateral seminar between the National Audit Office of China and the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation was held via a video link on 17 June 2021 on the theme of “Environmental Auditing for Regional Development”. Mr Hao Shuchen, Deputy Auditor General (Accountability Audit) of CNAO, addressed the opening ceremony.
he kick-off meeting on ASOSAI WGEA cooperative audit themed on sustainable transport was held virtually on 23rd March 2021. The meeting was chaired by SAI China while representatives from five other SAIs participated in, namely SAIs of Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand.
